You've no intention of doing anything as stupid as trying to eat one of the blue flowers. In fact, you're not even going to touch them. You do need to learn a bit about the flora and fauna about this island though - what if these flowers are everywhere?
You edge a bit closer and with your hands safely out of reach behind your back you take another peak at the flowers.
All of a sudden the flowers perk up, petals curling upwards into a bulb shape, there's a pumping motion from many of them and a green mist in the air. The mist surrounds you and stings.
Your eyes quickly fill up with tears, your mouth and nose feel like they're on fire. There must have been a heavy dose of acid in the green drool from the flowers. It takes a second or two for you to release that the acid is having an even more profound effect on the clothes you're wearing. Everything seems to be dissolving! |
