I thought a moment about the next step. “If we are to reach the the planet, we’ll need to have a functional shuttle.”
“Then I guess we’ll have to go to the flight deck.” said.
She then turned around and led the way.
I was all too happy to be walking behind her. The jumpsuit left little of her butt to the imagination. I knew I had only just put my baby makers in her, but seeing her sexy butt like this made me want to take her again. There would be time for that later, tho. Now I had to focus on work.
When we reached the flight deck, we saw it was was composed of 3 sections. Hangar bay, loading bay and docking bay. We entered the flight deck at the hangar bay where the shuttle were kept.
Each of the shuttles had their own hangar.
First were 5 light shuttles. These were meant to quickly transport small containers and personel down to the surface.
Next were 3 medium shuttles. The purpose for those was to transport prefabricated residences.
Finally there were 2 heavy shuttles. Those are to be used for sending construction vehicles or other heavy materials.
“Uhm, which one do we take?” asked me.
I pointed at the first shuttle.
“We’ll need a light shuttle for the first run. Lets try this one, shuttle 74-8/L1.”
I opened the pilots cockpit and headed inside, followed by my sister. I seated myself at the pilots seat and instructed her to take place next to the co-pilot console.
“Powering up system. Activating automatic control.”
“Why are you saying this, ?”
“It’s a force of habit. They teach you this in flight school. Whenever you perform a systems check you need to call out what you are doing. It helps you to keep track of everything you did.”
“Ow, I see.”
“Taking ship to docking bay.”
The Shuttles were connected to a loading and docking bay by a rails system hanging overhead. First we passed the loading bay. Since this was a flight check we could skip loading goods into the shuttle.
Once we reached the docking bay, I explained Doe how to use the co-pilots console.
“Ok, . Ready for the check?”
“Ready and waiting.”
I ordered the shuttle to scan it’s hull and said “scanning ships hull.”

I started up the ships engine and said. “Ship engine.”
Again doe said “Check.”
“Landing gear.”
“Check.”
“Battery power supply.”
“Check.”

“Fuel tanks”
“Check.”

“Oxhygen tanks.”
“Check.”

Too bad we had come up to the end of the checklist now. I brought the ship back to the hangar bay.
Following this we did a systems check on the 74-8/M1 and 74-8/H1. A medium and heavy shuttle. After which we returned both to their respective hangars.

“I agree, I’ll retire to my cabin too.”
