When and myself got to the bridge we saw a lot of empty chairs. Another reminder of all the people had died. I hoped didn't think the same thing i was thinking.
I went to the the captains seat and brought up a map of the star system we were in.
there were 2 gas giants and 3 uninhabitable planets, 2 too far from the sun and 1 too close. the 8th planet was habitable.
"Look here." I called to my sister while i brought the image up to the main viewing screen. "That's the planet the ship detected."
"Well, i can see clouds and water. But what about atmosphere and plant life?"
I knew she'd ask about that, she had studied biology and was supposed to be among the colonists agricultural science team.
I however had been trained in ship navigation. My skills would be useful in getting to the planet, but not once we got there.
"Atmosphere appears to have high oxygen reserves. Perfect for humans to live. Plants are located all around the planet."
smiled at this. "Seems like it's all good. How long until we are in reach."
At her request, i brought up our current course on the big screen.
"Should take us a couple more days, a week tops." I then stepped away from the captains seat and turned to . "We should start preparing for planet fall."
"Okay then, where to bro?"
