As usual, Sven was listening to the police scanner. More crimes happened at night than during the day. He heard about a robbery at a bank. Apparently, the criminals had blasted through the wall of the bank and into the safe where they had taken most of the money and broken into a few safe deposit boxes. It sounded like the work of Tina Trance, a boss who liked to use hypnotized college girls to do her dirty work. It also sounded like a job for Hypnoman and Somnambulass.
After putting on his costume, he went to his roommate Gail's bedroom. She was sleeping soundly. It was a good thing she didn't need to be awake to help him fight crime in the city. Using the Eye of Emm'Sie, he took control of her sleeping body. "Somnambulass, you are needed."
Gail opened her eyes, her mind in a deep trance. "Yes Master Hypnoman, I am ready to obey you. I will fight crime with you." Taking off one of her babydoll nightie and panty sets that Sven had programmed her to wear to bed all the time, Gail donned her black teddy, black ankle boots, and see-thru black robe that she had altered to be a cape. Along with a mask, these served as her costume.
"I am ready, Hypnoman. Let's see what kind of crime we can stop."
Neither could fly, so to get to the crime scene, Hypnoman used the Eye to hypnotize a nearby cab driver. They sat in the back as the mind controlled cabbie took them to the bank. Police were on the scene already.
"Hypnoman and Somnambulass. So good to see you again." Police detective Lauren Tomlinson was on the scene. This was good. Hypnoman had worked with her before and had programmed her to be completely helpful to himself and his sidekick. They had already shared her as well, though the detective's memory had been erased afterwards.
"Yes, detective. What does it look like?" asked Hypnoman.
"Well, it's clear that whoever did this used some kind of cutting tool to get into the wall and the vault. Very powerful stuff."
Somnambulass spoke up. "This looks like a piece of the thieves' clothing." It was a red piece of lace.
"My guess is that a few young girls under mind control did this crime. Probably working for Tina Trance. Unwillingly."
"Well, Hypnoman, there is no way to prove that. Unless you can find one of the girls and restore her memory."
"We can do that, detective. Leave it to us." |
