In manga and anime, transformations are always violent and epic, with the character screaming and consumed by fireballs and such. Your transformation is much less impressive. You stand straight; dropping your guard as your hair slowly reverses color like a photo negative. The colors of your eyes similarly change color. As far as everyone can see, that’s about the most that you’ve changed.
“What do you think?” you ask, spreading your arms. Despite not being especially impressive, the breath of the crowd seemed to leave their lungs. “This is the secret form of the clan. It is one of the reasons that our clan is shunned and left in the shadows. This form was developed to let my clan weather demons and war and even the other clans!” You smile, showing slightly sharpened teeth. “You could call this form Reverse Form or, my personal favorite, Vampire.”
You move, charging Maya with a fist raised. Her eyes widen as she finally notices her sluggish reaction speed. Your fist skims the tops of her fingers before they smash into her face, sending her flying back.
“Normally every living thing exudes ki—people, animals, plants, even rivers and fertile soil have ki. The members of my clan have learned how to stop generating ki and start absorbing it. That’s why I’ve been talking so long, senpai. The longer our fight goes on the more of your strength I steal.”
Maya’s eyes widen as she realizes the implications of what you just told her. In this crowded hallway, full of people and bystanders, you have a nearly endless supply of strength.
“Don’t worry, Maya-san, I’ll end this with the next blow,” you smile before launching yourself at her again, fist raised.
