Changing the Rules | mcmartin | 6

As you contemplate your next move a thought dawns upon you. In this crazy new world where you just had your dick sucked by your best friend in a public movie theater, you begin to wonder what the advantage of being a girl's boyfriend is anymore. Since you can obviously fuck anyone you want as recreational activity, there doesn't seem to be any reason to get exclusive in a relationship. Nevertheless, throughout your entire time with Jen and Todd today, its been clear that they do consider themselves to be “boyfriend” and “girlfriend”.

You pull out your cell phone and search for the term "boyfriend". When you find it you learn the rule in this world is that women choose their “boyfriends” in expectation of that individual eventually becoming their “husband”.

*Ok,* you think, *Nothing odd about that. Now let’s look up “husband”.*

The definition of “husband” is where the new twist comes into being. The rule of this world is that “Husbands” are the only ones capable of impregnating a woman. All other sex, as per your previous rule change, is purely recreational in nature.

It all makes sense of course. In a world where sex is so available, the rules had to compensate for the increase of all the unwanted pregnancies that would have otherwise resulted. You could care less about the science of how a female's reproductive system could possibly recognize a husband's sperm over anyone else's, so you ignore that explanation. It would all be Greek to you anyway. For now, you are just amazed at how one rule change creates so many other new rules.

You hear Jen call to you: “Josh are you coming?”

What should Josh do next?

You want Jen all to yourself!
