I took the file and opened it. A hand written note from Lisa was enclosed. “In brief – Kosi was offered a position in Corporate Accounts nine months ago. Her language skills have not been up to the job. She is on a twelve-month probationary period so it is time to warn her although her weak language skills were pointed out at her last assessment. What makes it interesting is that she is a recent immigrant and we supported her application. If she loses her job she will have to go back to Japan. She seems desperate to avoid this. What she doesn't know is that we may have a position for her as the administrative link between here and our ofiice in Japan.”
