I had a look at Leighs estate several times and was astonished how expensive it had to be. It was in a good area, and had a rather big garden with two garages, a small garden house and even a pool. The house itself was big and newly build. Her white husband was clerk at a bank, so I guessed she had cheated quite a lot of customers like me to afford all this. I watched her house from my car. One day her husband drove to work in the morning, while her car was still parked outside. her black son, who was about 19 or 20, waled out, probably going to highschool. I kept watching. There was light in the kitchen, her car still outside. I knew she usually left the house about 9 o'clock, and it was 8.45. |
