Buffy: Alternate Season Seven | SchlockTheMonkey | 5

As Willow's hand curled around the artifact there was a bright flash of light. Warren tried to wrestle it away from her, but screamed in agony and and stumbled back the moment he touched her. He stared at his burned and blistered hands for a moment, then at Willow clutching a jeweled pendant carved with the Greek letter pi. A look of terror filled his face as he realized that the amulet had already bound itself to a mistress -- one who REALLY didn't like him.

"Oh, fuck me!" he shouted in despair, and ran for his life.

"Willow, sweetie, are you okay?" Buffy asked as she ran to Willow's side and helped her to her feet.

"I'm fine," Willow replied, and realized it was true. She'd never felt better, stronger, more nimble. The slight cold she'd felt coming on was gone too.

Wait. "Sweetie?" She looked into Buffy's eyes and saw love, concern, adoration there. The junior slayers rolled their eyes a bit.

"If the two of you would stop making moon eyes at each other we really ought to dispose of that amulet before Willow accidentally uses it," Giles said with some asperity.

*Too late,* Willow thought. "Are you my girlfriend?" Willow asked Buffy, trying to grasp hold of this new reality.

Buffy slipped her arms around Willow's waist. "What do you think?"

"What about Tara?" Willow asked.

Yeah? What about Tara?

          She's in on this, apparently.
