The Shining Stone (fixed) | SpectralTime | 11

You look the young elven guard over, and feel a twinge of guilt about letting her die. After all, who knows how long she might have lived, happily, if the two of you hadn't come along?

"You say... feeding on her will kill her?" you ask Anja.

"Well..." she murmurs, caressing the unconscious elf's supple body, "There are ways and ways, if you understand master." Almost absently, one hand slips beneath the guard's armor to fondle her more intimately.

"I'm waiting," you say, coldly, not showing the slight arousal you feel.

"Fine," growls Anja, sullen at having her meal interrupted. "Yes, drawing all the energy I require from one source will indeed kill it, sucking out its soul and feeding on its life force."

Suddenly, her mood seems to brighten, and her face pulls into a smile. She advances towards, you, obscenely carrying the guard with her. "Of course, master," she coos, "if you'd like to join us, why, no one need die today."

You quickly ponder your options. On one hand, if you don't join in, the elf will die. On the other, joining in would probably exhaust you, and there is scarce time to rest. You could always order Anja not to feed, but that might kill her.

What do you do?

          You join them.
