Your Father is American or Canadian and your mother is Russian, your father was raised in a more mountainous area then he had settled with your mother and started his family. Your mother was a Refugee, but because she married a Free Zone citizen she was made a citizen. Your father does not have much contacted with your grandparents, that is to say he was raised in this country and everything but as he learned his families history and the over all way things went he did not agree with it. Which is why you don't know if your family is American or Canadian. Your father gets angry pretty much anytime you ask about it, thou you know he is an only child.
(Your Parents are really your adopted parents, your mother died giving birth to you earlier then she was suppose to give birth because of the shock of learning that your father had been killed in combat, Your father had mostly gone to war because joining the conflicted was often the easiest work for people to find that often paid well. You don't know much on this as a whole either way. Your Adopted parents did not go into deep details on the whole. You only guess that is the reason your father had gone to war. You also have owner ship of the wedding rings they had and the dog tags that seem to be the only remains of your father that had been recovered. Your Adopted Father seemed to be protecting both sets of items closely but he turned them over to you along with a bottle of Whiskey that had been your fathers. But for all practical reason's because your parents are dead your adopted parents are still your mother and father. They also approve so far of your possible relations with your cousins and older sister, they also like Charlie and Skye. So chances are they will like the others, they also want you to try and protected Tara if you can help it.)
Your Parents names:
Your father's first name is Maximilian, Max for short
Your mother's first name is ANIA which in English would be Anna
So in other words your father's name is Max Alexander
So in other words your mother's name is Anna Francesca
Your Father does not like the long form of his first name, with his middle name and last name. And your mother prefers the English way to say and write her name to the Russian.
Your mother's family not long after you had been born managed to get citizenship, and you have contacted with some of your uncles and your grand parents from time to time thou rarely. Thou you do have a few cousin's your age which you see daily in school, you also have one older sister and one younger sister and a little brother.
The siblings:
Your eldest sister was given the name Khristina Natalia , your mother felt that it was in the interest of your fathers interest well still giving her a name spelled as the way her family might do it. Your eldest sister goes by Kris, or Tina depending on who you are or the environment. For the most part only her family calls her Kris. She is not the most attractive female you ever saw thou you would not call her ugly either. She is got what you would consider average looks, she is also built pretty normal and is friends with Tara Tenzin. Tara and Tina are in the same grade she is 19 going on 20, thou they are studying different subjects. Tara, is often around your house which might also help explain the reason that she has an easy time talking to you besides just being older then you, it can't hurt that your family likes her and she has familiarity with them. (Your elder sister has always loved you for one reason or another, you don't quite get it but because the two of you are not related so be it you know?)
Your younger sister was given the name Zoya Constance , she is quite a bit more attractive then her elder sister, you pretty much feel she looks more like your mother. Which kinda explains to you what your father mostly saw in your mother, your younger sister is not in any of your social groups. Beside the family that is, and since she is a few years younger then you at 15. She will not be affected by the things the government are doing for a few years. Your younger sister goes by the English version of her name which is Zoe.
Your little brother was given the name Zed Miles after your estranged grandfather you believe mostly, which in most of European English and Canada is the way most people say Z. This is one of the many reason's you think your family might be from Canada. Besides what little information you could get out of your mother in regards to your fathers family since your father will not talk about it. Zed is 16 a year older then your litter sister, he is very protected of her. You also think there is a possibility your brother was named Zed to suggest he was the last. Which makes you wonder how many siblings your grandfather might have had when you consider this. (It turns out your brother has the name of your real father, and the person you have always called father is really your adopted uncle so to speak because his father had adopted your father.)
Your Aunts And Uncles,
Since most of the family you have contacted with are Russian, and many of them speak little to no English much like your grandparents you don't spend much time talking with them. Which is one of the reason's you tend to have more contacted with your cousin's. Your mothers side of the family is not very larger at least in the Free Zone there not. You have 2 Aunts, one Uncle. a handful of cousins. One of your Aunts is lesbian, but because the Free Zone Nations had tried to give freedoms were they could few people look down on her for this. Even if the nation before them, had issue with said behaviors.
Your Mothers Families last name was Verden, which based on the information you can find was a location in Germany which would suggest that her family was not always Russian go figure?
Your uncle is named after your grandfather with the name, Fritz which is short for Friedrich which is a form of Frederick, your uncle even has the II in his name. You find it corny as a whole that his name is Fritz but it is one more thing that makes you figure that maybe your Grandfathers Family was German. Your Uncle goes by Fred instead of Fritz. Your Uncle is not married but has always lived with the same woman for so long as you can remember. (Your uncle Fred had tried to be the one to adopt you but your fathers adopted brother decided it best to fulfill the promise he had made to your father long ago. Your uncle Fred is also the one who had remembered that you had promised to be married to Hailey and has always taken it seriously. You also wonder why your uncle Fred is so keen on you being married to Hailey when he himself has never married his life partner. Which in this case Life partner means long time girlfriend.)
Your grandfather go by Dedushka which is Russian for Grandpa, he does not much like hearing his first name said by children. He figures it is matter of honor so to speak. And to refer to a grandparent as such is important.
And so your grandmother in respect of your grandfather goes by Babushka, which means grandmother. The whole family has been calling them that since the first grandchild was born. Thou they refer to one and other as starik which means old man and starukha which means old woman. You find it funny that they refer to themselves like this. Thou you figure it is much like saying Mamma or Pappa maybe. (Your grand parents have always praised you in hopes of building up your confidences to allow you to become more then you ever might have been for the sum of the parts so to speak.)
Your Lesbian Aunt was given the name, Gabriela, and your other Aunt's name is Abigail. So your Gay aunt was given the female name of Gabriel means heroine of God. So it is ironic in some ways she ended up gay. And Abigail means my father is joy, so no idea what that might really suggest in this general area of the story or direction. Your mothers name means grace, from the root name Hannah. So as you consider how they named your aunts and uncle. You realize your family might not only be from Germany but of Jewish origin. Which might suggest why her family was quick to get out of Russia. Thou you are unsure honestly how long your mothers family had been in the Free Zone before they got citizenship considering talking to your grandfather is a hard tasks as a whole.
Your aunt Abigail is married, and your aunt Gabriela has got a girlfriend. Abigail goes by Abby and Gabriela goes by Gaby
Your Cousins:
When I said you have a hand full I honestly meant a Handful, you have Four female cousins and one Male. And unlike there parents they speak English a lot better then most of the generations before them.
You have a horrible time trying to say the Russian families last names so you stick to first names with your cousins.
Zev- Is the name your Uncle Gave his Son, 22 years old and kinda like an older brother to you. Considering you are the oldest in your part of your family tree. You get the feeling your Uncle hated the name Fritz a lot, that is the reason he did not name his son as his father had even thou your grandfather mostly urged him too. Zev means deer or wolf in Hebrew. ( Zev seems likely to just enjoy what happens according to your parents)
Gypsy- She is the only child of your aunt Gabriela, it would seem she was born after the first and only time your aunt had sex with a man. Before she realized men repulsed her thou it is hard to know if the event that made this happen is the choose also your family does not talk about it much. Your Aunt sometimes jokes about how she came up with her daughters name, she felt that the Gypsy people had always been mistreated by the Russians and felt it would make a fitting name for a daughter in later life she would have never thought of having. Gypsy is 18 and goes to school with you, thou you share no classes and she looks strikingly like a younger version of her mother. Her name means wanderer. She gets a long pretty well with you and Hailey thou she tends to travel in her own circles. (She did not get embarrassed when she exposed herself to you and you think it might be because, she has feelings for you but you can't be sure she sounded disappointed when she was not allowed back into the locker room office.)
Hailey- Youngest Child of your Uncle, she is also 18. And she has classes with you, all your cousin's besides Zev you are closest to Hailey and it is hard to explain. She is very pleasing on the eyes thou you don't pay much merit to any feelings you might have for her. Hailey means hero, and is of English Origin you get the feeling maybe your father had helped your uncle pick a name. Hailey has the classes of Chemistry as well as History and Sociology in common with you. (It seems you had promised to marry her when you had been younger, and you know in many countries it happens to be quite common for first cousins to be married to one and other, thou you know this is not an issue because you had been adopted.)
Tracy - Is the oldest daughter of your aunt Abigail, she is 2 years younger then Zev and 2 years older then you at 20. She use to babysit you and the other Cousins so that your families could have time out from time to time, thou she would be babysitting with Zev about simply because the family felt better having two older kids since not all the kids listen well to one or the other. She is not horrible looking she is just kinda plain compared to the rest of your cousins she is currently studying in college along with Zev and your sister and many others you know. Thou most of them don't share many classes together and as best as you can tell have little or no contacted but in passing. Your sister and Tracy often took turns watching after you and the others when you had been younger. Tracy and your eldest sister often disagree with one and other. The Origin of the name is lost but you could best say it mostly means Warlike or last summer. ( Tracy when hearing about the fact your elder sister and cousins will mostly be putting your name on their form, laughs a bit and giggles but does not make it clear if she had or not. You don't have strong feelings for her and you hate the fact your elder sister and her always argue.)
Saffren - Is the youngest daughter of Abigail, she is the age half way between 15 and 16 and is basically the age of your younger sister or brother. They seem pretty close by all considerations, They have a lot of the same classes together and your brother is almost as protective of her as he is of your own sister. Which is kinda strange that your brother is the protective of your family considering your older then him. Saffron has light blond hair and by comparison to all the others girls you know around you she really does stick out like a sore thumb you think maybe this is the reason your brother is protective of her. She is pretty Innocent compared to all of your siblings and other cousins considering that she is second youngest. Saffron or Saffren is a flower that is used as a spice as well as a bright orange-yellow color dye.
( Please note that, as of right now the male to female ratio is kinda high so this might also have some affect on why the government might be the first to take steps to try and increase the dwindling human population.) |
