"I guess we should work together from here on out." you say to your new companion. It really doesn't hurt to have some company out here, you think, and it certainly doesn't hurt that her naked body isn't at all hard on the eyes.
"Yeah, I guess." she responds, unenthusiastically.
"Look I'm sorry for getting you wrapped up in all this."
"No, it's ok. It was partly my fault anyway. Let's just get a move on. They'll be coming after us soon."
You venture further into the woods, and, seeing as how two sets of eyes and ears are better then one, you manage to avoid capture for a long while. You even start to bond with her, joking with one another to the point that you almost completely forget about the gravity of your current situation. You also frequently catch each other sneaking peeks at the other's body.
In time, you estimate there can only be about a half hour left on the clock, "We've almost made it, just a little bit longer now."
"You know," she says, taking your hand and looking deep into your eyes "regardless of what happens, when this is all over I think I'd like to be more than just contestants in some stupid game with you."
"I'd like that." you smile.
But before things can get too sappy, comes bursting out of a woods, "Aha! There you are! Now your mine!"
"Run!" you shout, and you both flee into the woods.
"You won't escape!" calls out after you.
