A Marriage in Trouble | k.kikkiriccio | 7

Peter took a deep breath, and then let out a calm "heyyyyy." He needed to say something. "I saw your friend, ran into her in there while she was stair stepping."

The blonde had opened the door but cautiously turned around to look at Peter, biting her lower lip. "Sorry about... ohhh--"

"Hey, it's ok, no big deal, it's all good. I said hi to her, she said hi to me, it's cool. It could happen to anyone, you know with the men's and women's doors right by each other." He could tell that he was reassuring her because she seemed to relax immediately. She smiled as she let the door go so that it swung shut. She, too, was adorably cute, with bright blue eyes that were accentuated by her blue top. He was trying to be calm and comforting rather than lustful. Trying. It wasn't easy -- there was something about that sweaty hair pulled back from her neck behind her ears, releasing a few trails of moisture to run down her neck, that mesmerized him, but he tried not to let it show.

"We felt so bad, we just... blah, sorry."

"Well, apology accepted, for you and from her, it's cool." Peter fed some change into the vending machine.

"Thank you," she smiled. "We were like, what would happen if we saw him again and he was mad and stuff? Like, we'd probably run into each other some time. We were going to leave, but we thought you were going to leave cuz you were finished working out cuz you were showering. So we just, like, hid out in the women's locker room for a while till we thought you were gone."

"Well, I think it's better that we met, so that everyone knows it's all cool," Peter said, grabbing his drink.

"Hold on," she said quickly, throwing open the door and leaning out "WHAT!? ... ya, I got it, um ... talking, yeah." Peter heard the other muffled voice, coming closer.

Whom did the other voice belong to?

          The other friend
