The Animorph Pet Shop | Gildedtongue | 16

Since Freya had already been escorted away, you feel it best that you let the professionals handle her, and not get in their way. “Well, guess I could take the extended tour.” The clerk gets a large grin on his face, making sure that there isn't any one around before taking you into the back of the store.

“Don't worry about a thing about Freya. She'll have plenty of fun and excitement here at the facility and all her needs will be attended to. Um, are you taking her back for breeding, or for, ah, 'relaxation'?” You open up your mouth to respond, but the clerk cuts you off, “Oh, no matter, it won't be a problem for another day or so. First there's medical check-ups, shots and the like. A healthy animorph is a happy animorph, as they say.”

He leads you into a large hallway. The stark walls and harsh florescent lighting is much different than the rest of the store, more... sterile. He pointed you around, “Over there are the barracks, where you'll be sleeping.” he said, noticing your bags, “A cafeteria down that door, where you can eat with the other people here, human and animorph alike. Down the hall is the medical room and birthing rooms.” He then stopped before a pair of doors, “And here's the breeding rooms. There's also some, ah, audience seating behind two-way mirrors, so you can see the 'action'.” he said, shivering slightly. Seems the clerk gets the same kick out of things.

“What's that there?” you ask, pointing to a door marked “Employees Only” near the medical rooms.

“Oh, that? Just the pharmacy. Nothing that interesting, but, as it says.” he gives you a wink. He opened up his mouth before there was a light buzzing sound. The man dropped his hands and sighed, “No rest for the wicked, is there? If you'll excuse me, I've got customers to attend to. Ta ta!” he said, walking out.

You're alone in the hallway, you suppose you could put away your things and maybe catch a quick nap in the barracks, or could get a bite to eat, or even catch a “show” in the audience chamber. Though, what's that? You see that some careless employee had left the door to the pharmacy open just a bit. Will the curiosity to peek overwhelm you?

Where do you go now?
