"Oh, I have so much work to do here, honey. You take the boys and go so we can fix that window." She said.
"Okay, and I'll be back in a while to see Mrs. Claus tonight!" Tim jokes before kissing her goodbye and heading out the door with their 3 boys.
Jill sighed and took her burnt pie out of the oven; it was ruined because she had to wait for Tim's stupid machines to work before they took their Christmas card photo.
She grumbled to herself as she shivered as the cold winter air came rushing in through the broken pane of glass. She went to the basement to grab a frozen pie so they would still have some dessert.
As she walks up the stairs, she swears that she heard footsteps, but nothing was there when she returned to the kitchen. Glancing at the broken window pane, she sighs and puts the pie into the oven.
Catching a glimpse of herself in the reflection of the glass cabinet, she thinks to herself "I need to change out of this outfit then glances at the timer counting down the time until the oven is ready. Does she go change now, or wait for the oven? |
